Starting up a business in a small community is no easy task. Businesses close everyday across the world. It’s not easy. But one thing that is great about a small community is the support that the locals are willing to give. If it wasn’t for them, then local business wouldn’t exist. And everything would be an import.
Recently my friends Tommy and Roxann Cullen who own Westmoreland Golf Course decided to put an addition on their club house. They can now seat parties and events in their new dining room. They asked us and other local businesses to come and see the new addition and meet and mingle. I have worked with Roxann over the years at a couple different places. I know how hard she works and she knows how hard I work.
Its events like this that help get the word out and support from the community that makes our little community such a great place to be! Go check out their new addition, and hopefully play a round of golf in the near future! We are sick of this snow here in Upstate NY. They have a bar open to the public as well as food specials and every Thursday is their wing night, even when it’s not golf season. Find them on Facebook. And support local business!
